We, the Killurin Community Alert & Development Group, work to make Killurin a better place to live for all that reside in the area, and those further afield who want to share in our amenities.
Killurin, a rural suburb of Tullamore, boasts an active Community Alert & Development Group and a super support network.
To date, projects that have been at the heart of the group include;
- Defibrillators for the area (2 active, and maintained)
- The Christmas Lights (4 years and counting),
- A subscription to an active Text Alert service with any updates of suspicious activity in the area (and sometimes missing pets)
- Killurin Fun Day (fundraiser)
- Aisling Murphy Memorials, in honour of the memory of a girl, loved by all, who we lost too soon. She will forever be in our hearts, we think of the families that have been affected by this daily.
- Litter Picks throughout Killurin
- Since the start of 2022, the Killurin Walkway Project has been underway.
- We are fundraising at the moment, to raise 25% of the total cost of the Walkway.
- Thanks to a massive effort by all of the community, Offaly LDC and Leader have awarded us 75% Funding towards the completion of a walking track.
